At the 95th
Academy Awards on Sunday night, "Everything Everywhere All at Once"
won the Oscars for best picture and best director, while several cast members
were awarded individual acting honors. The movie, which defies genre
conventions, had already received top awards from the Screen Actors Guild,
Directors Guild, Producers Guild, and Writers Guild, and came into the night
with the most nominations. The ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, who
returned to the role for the third time, and was broadcast live from the Dolby
Theater in Los Angeles. The film was co-written and co-directed by Daniel
Scheinert and Daniel Kwan.
